Route information
This event will take place in the private grounds of Welbeck's 15,000 acre estate in Sherwood Forest, Nottinghamshire. Not usually open to the public, you'll have a chance to enjoy the sunning parkland designed in 1748 and enjoy some beautiful views over the countryside.
10k
The 10k course takes in sweeping views of Welbeck Abbey. The route circuits the park and crosses the picturesque great lake out into open countryside. It skims the deer park, where there’s the chance to look out for white deer, and returns via the Abbey.
5k
The 5k course has a route that includes scenic countryside, skirting ancient woodland, forestry and farmland. The route also takes you past beautiful old lodges, and loops back to the heart of the estate. It's suitable for all family members who can run 5k or walk 1-1.5 hours - please note, for the little ones, there are a few hills to conquer.

The nearest bus stop to Welbeck Estate is Dukeries Garden Centre, which is a 15 minute walk away from the start location.

There will be a possibility of registering for this event on the day but this is not guaranteed. Booking in advance is encouraged to avoid disappointment.
Cut-off
There will be a cut-off time of 3 hours for the 10k Bun Run Ramble. You will need to have completed the race by 13:20.
The event will close at 14:00
Race Village
There will be an area where hot food and beverages will be on sale.
Age Requirements
Runners will need to be aged 14 and over to compete in the 10k run and 13 or over to run with a canicross.

Yes, there'll be water stations at regular intervals on the routes.
Can my dog run with me for the Bun Run?
Fury friends are welcome. There will be a separate entry for those running with dogs.
Do I have to run the Bun Run?
Not at all. You can walk the Bun Run route if that's the speed for you.
