Route information
This is a 10k like no other, where runners will take on the stunning coastal paths on the sea wall of the Dengie peninsula. There will also be trails across open countryside and a town centre start and finish. The race really has everything, and it is for everyone with both novice and experienced runners welcome.
The flat course comprises of one loop, taking in all of these beautiful surroundings. It's safe to say this will be a bit different to your typical road 10k race.
Runners will have the use of parking, changing rooms, and toilets at the Dengie Hundred Sports Centre, where there will be plenty of space to relax before and after the race.

By Car
Burnham-on-Crouch is sited on the Dengie peninsula in Eastern Essex, with main approaches from South Woodham Ferrers, Chelmsford or Maldon.
The main routes from the M25 in the west include the A12, A13, and A127 all connecting to the A130. On the A130 at the Rettendon Turnpike junction take the A132, B1012 and B1010 into Burnham. Just past the Ormiston Rivers Academy on the left, at the T-junction, turn right into Station Road, the B1021. Continue down this road - the high road - and turn right at the library, continuing past the Sport Centre to Riverside Park.
By Train
Burnham is served by a branch line via Wickford on the London Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria Line. Trains from London run at regular intervals.

Start times will be allocated with respect to estimated finish time (prioritising quicker times) and communicated prior to the event by email or SMS, these times may be subject to change.
Race Start
Participants will start individually at 10-15 second intervals to maintain social distancing, with a recommended 15-minute arrival window allocated and communicated prior to the event.
Race Pack
You will collect your number on the day of the event.
Your race number must be fastened to the front of your top using the safety pins provided.
Race Briefing
Unless there have been any changes following communication of the final pre-event information, there will be no event briefing on the day. Participants should read the communication thoroughly to familiarise themselves with the event details.
Bag Drop
Bag Drop will be available at this event. Bring only essentials to the event, use the tear-off baggage strip on your bib.
Age Restrictions
You must be at least 15 to take part in the 10k.
Spectator Info
Spectators are permitted at this event, subject to the continued relaxing of COVID-restrictions.

Participants must be 15 and over on race day to enter.

Will there be prizes?
Yes! Prizes will be awarded to the top five places overall for both females and males.
Can I wear headphones during the race?
Noise-cancelling Earphones/Headphones are prohibited and, whilst the organiser discourages the use of other headphones, participants choosing to use them should ensure they are set to a low enough volume that instructions from marshals and/or other event officials can be clearly understood.
Will there be a bag drop?
There will be a bag drop, there will be limited space so please bring as little as possible.
