Route description
The Bryn Meadows Caerphilly 10k course is based around a single lap course so lead runners are not likely to lap slower participants. The start and finish line are located off Crescent Road, behind Caerphilly Castle, marked by a gantry. Roads will be opened as part of a rolling road closure after the back runners have passed key points on the route.
Event Timetable
8.00am Baggage and changing facilities open
9.10am 2k entrants assemble
9.15am 2k start time
9.30am Warm-up activities
9.45am 10k starting assembly line open
10.00am 10k start time
In order to facilitate the event a number of road closures will be in place around the route, so please allow plenty of time to arrive at the start line in anticipation of the road closures and in order to take advantage of the baggage check-in at the start line location.
Information regarding waves to follow.
Each runner will be issued with a timing chip as part of their information pack. The use of timing chips means that all participants will receive an accurate record of their runtime – regardless of which time they cross the Start Gantry.
