Route information

The 50-mile route starts and finishes in Heptonstall traveling over open moorland and woodland trails, taking in some of the more scenic views from above Todmorden and Old Town as well as the lesser popular canal sections and the odd road crossing.

Be sure to make use of the 6 aid stations, particularly the 5th one in Todmorden situated between two climbs.

You have 17 hours to get back to Heptonstall for a jacket potato & vegetarian chili!

The 30-mile route starts at Hall Ings Road, Southowram and finishes in Heptonstall, with a 10-hour cut-off.... this means you still get the killer climb out of Todmorden... but once you get to the top it's all flat to the end.

Parking

There is parking at the club but please car share where possible. Please be aware this is in a residential area and the residents do park outside their houses.

Registration

Registration will take place on the Friday 6-8pm at Heptonstall Social and Bowling Club, Acre Lane, HX7 7LT

Bag Drop

50-mile runners can leave one bag at registration to be taken to cp4 at 35 miles.

Mandatory kit list

Waterproof jacket - this must be a suitable jacket with taped seams
Waterproof trousers - as above
Long sleeve base layer in bag
Hat and gloves
Whistle and compass
Water bottle and a minimum of 500ml water
Cup- suitable for hot drinks, the aid stations are cupless. All have water and coke, some have hot drinks
Torch and spare batteries or backup light source. for 50 mile runners
