This is quite unlike a normal road race. It is extremely challenging, including a climb of over 2,415 feet and is the most North Westerly and probably the most demanding marathon on mainland Britain.

Route information
The route takes runners through some of the most spectacular wilderness in the UK to the famous Stevenson lighthouse at Cape Wrath. The route then returns to Capeside where timing is stopped for a ferry journey back across the Kyle. At Landside timing is re-started. The final stretch is from Landside to Durness Village Hall. Your spilt times are recorded on your log card by race officials and your total time will be calculated at Race HQ.
