Kit List

This is a fancy dress event, with special prizes for the best costume, so don't forget to dress up! It is especially encouraged to draw on or wear a fake moustache (unless you've grown one already, that is). You will receive your free MoRunning Headband in your race pack, so make sure to put it on before the race.

Please make sure that your Bib race number is fully visible on the outside.

Am I allowed to wear headphones?

Headphones are allowed, but you must make sure that you are aware of your surroundings and are able to hear instructions from marshals and fellow runners.

Spectators

This is a great family event, with lots of silly fancy dress and groovy music, so it will be great fun to come and watch. You're more than welcome to come along and cheer your friends and family around the course. There's also a strong charitable focus, so the more support the better.

Volunteers

Can I volunteer or marshal at the event?

If you are not able to take part in this year's races but would still like to take part in the event by volunteering or marshalling, you would be hugely welcome. There are plenty of roles available, and volunteers tend to work from 8am-12pm. In return, you will receive snacks, drinks, and free entry to a future event. If you would like to volunteer, please email [email protected]

FAQs

What are the age restrictions?

Children are permitted to run in any of the events, as long as their parent/guardian is confident that they are able to finish the course. Parents/guardians must be responsible for their children at all times.

The Mini Mo event is restricted to younger children aged 3-12.

Will there be toilets?

Yes, toilets will be available by the event hub.

Is there anywhere I can leave my bags?

Yes, a bag storage area is located by the registration area. However, space is very limited so please pack lightly. The bag storage gazebos will always be attended, but it is not recommended to bring anything valuable.

Am I allowed to run with my dog?

Dogs are permitted on course, provided they are on leads. Please be aware of your fellow runners and be careful around the course.

Where do I get my race day photos?

Photos from the event will be available to view and purchase one or two days after the event. You must enter your name and race number, so please make sure your race number is visible during the race. If your number is visible, you are guaranteed at least two photographs of you running on the day.

Do I need to fundraise for the Movember Foundation?

Fundraising is not compulsory, but anything you can raise would make a big difference. When you enter, you have the option of making a donation. You can fundraise for any charity of your choice.

MoRunning supports the Movember Foundation which tackles men's health, focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.

Disappointed to not have any sign posting of where the race actually was from the car park. Race numbers could be emailed out in advance too.

Not a course for PBs lots of stopping as paths not wide enough for the amount of people. Perhaps getting estimated times and going in waves would work better.

Very much enjoyed the race, good course, muddy/crowded in parts but that can't be helped.
Crowds were great and everyone was really friendly and encouraging.
My only criticism would be the bag drop. Putting everyones property on plastic sheets on the floor in torrential rain is asking for trouble.
My bag was soaked through and covered in mud.
Could have easily been avoided by getting some pallets to raise all the bags etc off the floor.
    Maybe next time!

First time running a 10k and I thoroughly enjoyed it the event was well organised and everyone was super friendly would highly recommend

Every year this event is amazing and one of my favorite to race. The route was good but seemed congested in some parts...this may be due to the fact that the 5k race was also taking part. We were queuing to collect our numbers and it was a slow process. It started raining and we were soaked and cold (I know the weather is unpredictable) but maybe send the numbers in the post or have a more organised process. Other people may think differently but it was only because I seen dozens of people jumping the queue grabbing any number they could because it was raining. Nevertheless, it has always been a great event and look forward to the next one where I can retain my title due to winning it this year. Thanks, Lee.

Great event, plenty of fun to be had. Good social and fund raising event all in one. Maybe next time just book a little less rain .
