By Car

From the A470, follow the signs to Castell Coch. Continue past the castle entrance for 1.5 kilometres past the Fforest Fawr car park and up to Mountain View Ranch car park.

There were issues with congestion at times when going up the narrow hills (I wasn’t complaining for he walk mind you!) and was surprised with the £5 parking as this wasn’t written anywhere on the guide. Other wise had a great morning, thanks!

Hi. My entry was transferred from a different event and upon registration there was no record of my entry but this was quickly sorted out. Great experience, course with bottled water available and very friendly atmosphere - only negative was the bag drop collection was a free for all with no one checking the correct bag was being collected by participants.

A delightful experience with credit due to the beauty of the secluded forestry along with the heart alighting support of the Marshalls.

Overall it was very organised with plenty of marshalls and arrows directing the route. Beautiful route with lovely views.It was a shame there wasn't information regarding the car parking cost, luckily we had some money on us but other people were turned away with little option to park elsewhere. This needs to be on the pre race info so people know to bring cash. The car park was quite a trek on the way back too! Overall it was very enjoyable!

Amazing course, really well marked and lovely people. Only feedback would be to notify the charge for parking, we saw people being turned away and it was just be luck we had £5 with us!

The big drawback was the long queue to get into the car park - it took us 13 minutes to move about 200 metres. Then the '10 minute walk to the start' turned out to be a 1.3 mile walk to the registration area, much of it on a forest track. Here we queued to get our race numbers. Then a further short walk to the actual start and the toilets. Having arrived at the entrance to the car park at 8.10am, my friend and I finally arrived at the toilets at 9.07am and missed the race start. The actual race was very well marked and marshalled, very tough, but in what seems to be a very nice area. We love the medal and goodies at the finish, just a shame the start was rather a shambles.
