Here's what races are available for Castle to Castle
This 22 mile route will be in and around the Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty along some single track, woodland, and technical trails. There'll be some excellent views as you explore the beautiful Suffolk countryside - so remember to bring your camera.
The route will be between two local landmarks, starting at Orford and finishing at Framlingham.

How to get there

There are car parks at both the start and finish in Orford and Framlingham.
Orford Castle is close to the Suffolk coast. From the A12, take the B1078, then B1084, Sudbourne Road then Ipswich Road to Orford Castle.
Travel from the finish at Framlingham
You are encouraged to lift share where possible making it easy to get to both the start and the finish. Alternatively, there are local taxis available to take you back to Orford after the run.

The Run Leader will take the group out at a social running pace that's comfortable for everyone so that you can enjoy the trails, take in your surroundings and make the most of this run.

- Trail shoes – don’t worry if you don’t have trail-specific shoes, during the Spring/Summer months you could get away with road shoes, but be prepared for them to get slightly muddy.
- Long sleeve/base layer – for when you stop.
- Fully charged mobile phone.
- At least 500ml water.
- Snacks – energy bars, gels etc.
- Sun hat or cap/buff style multifunctional headwear.
- Waterproof jacket (depending on the forecast).
What route will the Castle to Castle take?
This run will be over a mixed terrain from forests, fields, tracks and trails. Road running will be kept to a minimum.
Do I need to be an experienced runner to take part in the Castle to Castle?
No, this is a run not a race so there will be a relaxed, social running pace suitable for all experience levels.
How long will the Castle to Castle take?
The time out on the trails can vary from group to group, but please allow about 4 hours of this run.
