Did the 8.4 miles in 2019

Yesterday I ran the 8.4 mile Castleward Trail Race. It was my first time doing this race and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The course was quite tough and hilly but that was part of the enjoyment, managing to complete not one, but two laps of the course. The other part was the diversity and beauty of the course, taking in woodland, open ground and running alongside both lake and river. The organisation was excellent, from the marshals on car park duty to registration to all the volunteers around the course, making it so easy to follow.In fact there were a few times when I couldnt see anyone in front but it was still so easy to follow the path and then the marshals directions.There was a real buzz about the place too, at the start and at the end and everyone was really friendly and helpful.Just two small issues.The run was advertised as 8.4 miles but my GPS said 8.04. Was the GPS slightly out?Also, while the medal was nice, it would have been good to have had the venue and date inscribed on it.But these are small matters. Thank you guys for a great run. I will certainly be back and I can thoroughly recommend it to others
