Cateran Trail Run

The run will follow the Cateran Trail from Kirkton of Glenisla to Alyth with a change of route at 233523 where the Cateran Trail meets the minor road to Ardormie farm, in order to avoid a section of tarmac road. The route is marked with green road signs, posts (red heart symbol) and additional flags where runners could go wrong, and the route change which takes runners through Little Bamff, Bamff estate and to the top of Alyth Hill. Trail shoes are recommended as the route follows rough and muddy tracks in places. There are three steep climbs on rough tracks. Total climb 570 metres. A light waterproof top may be required depending on weather conditions on the day
