Route information
This exciting multi-terrain run takes in the country roads and urban areas of Staffordshire from Lichfield to Tamworth, with proceeds going to support local charities and worthwhile causes. The course is fast and mostly flat, so is ideal for all runners - from novices aiming to complete their first 10-mile event to experienced runners aiming for a new PB.
Following roads, paths, tracks and canal towpaths, runners will begin in Beacon Park at the cathedral and head into Lichfield's centre. The route goes along Darnford Lane and then onto the local paths around Whittington Heath.
The course also takes in Hopwas Woods, the canal and the village of Hopwas, before a short road section brings runners into Wiggington Park in Tamworth. The closing section of the race continues onwards into the grounds of Tamworth Castle, the Grade 1-listed Norman castle with views of the River Anker. Runners will be able to unwind at the family fun day in the castle's grounds post-race.
The course will be fully marked, so no need to worry about getting lost!
