About
The Charmouth Challenge is a chip timed 8-mile fell run through some of the finest coastal scenery in the South West on Dorset’s beautiful Jurassic Coast, overlooking Charmouth’s famous fossil hunting beaches with views to historic Lyme Regis. It includes an ascent of Golden Cap, which at 191 metres is the highest point on the South West Coast of England. There is also a 2 mile fun run, also chip timed for running novices and children over the age of 8, or for any younger children taking part with a grown up. If you don’t want to run but still want to join in, no problem – there will be refreshments and things to do at Charmouth Primary School which is the start and finish point – and it’s a short walk to the beach to enjoy those views!
