Route description

The course takes you right around the circumference of the epic Olympic Stadium, where Usain Bolt completed his famous 'treble-treble'. Other notable landmarks include the Lee Valley Velodrome, the home of Britain's cycling success.

Those running in the 5km race will complete the route twice, while those in the 10km will complete it four times.

Another excellent event by RunThrough, continuing to maintain their high-standard of events, even in the most challenging of conditions. Being able to run an organised & chip-timed 5 or 10k on a cold & rainy midweek evening in deepest, darkest February is truly an amazing thing. Makes you appreciate the warm & sunny "Chase the Sun" events all the more!

Was a very rainy day, but I still enjoyed the race. If it's raining, it's a very good idea to have some dry and warm replacement shoes and clothes. I didn't have other shoes, so had to improvise - I changed socks and put plastic bags on my feet so I can wear the wet shoes and still stay dry. I had to cycle home after the event too, so plastic bags were lifesavers even if it sounds ridiculous

I enjoyed it on a cold, wet Wednesday evening. That said, looking forward to the Chase the Sun series. Ive done RunThrough events so far so know the process. It works well, and good follow-up post race.

Even though it rained the whole way round, the atmosphere was great. It was my first time running at the Olympic Park, and it took a little while to find the race from Stratford underground station.Once again, the flapjacks were worth the effort!Mostly flat.

A fabulous event, great course, with plenty of supportive marshals out in the course. Bag drop was smooth and well organised, run started on time and staggered to let the speedy ones out first, but chip timed so my time was accurate (pb for me) and the post race flapjack a triumph. Great medal too. All in all a great way to spend valentines night (my wife ran too - who says romance is dead?!)I parked in Westfield shopping car park - I'd pre-registered for smart parking so just drove in and out without having to fiddle about paying (and got discounted parking too!) Make sure you select the right Westfield in your sat nav! Last time I ended up on the wrong side of London - doh!

It would be nice to have the meet up under cover for evenings when it is raining.

A good course for a PB, relatively flat compared to other Run Through events (thinking of Greenwich park and Finsbury park). Four lap course, which I don't mind, however some runners prefer fewer laps.

The run was enjoyable. The weather was bad but that is something the organisers obviously could not control. My Strava says the distance was not quite 10k. Not a biggie, not sure if it was my Strava or the race length itself., but worth noting.

This was my first "RunThrough" event and only my second 10k ever, up to now have only run Parkrun each weekend and a few 5 mile runs. I found the event very comfortable to run by someone with my limited experience. It was easy to find and easy to get to, we parked at Westfield and walked to the start.

I think the course could have been made slightly longer to avoid doing 4 loops for the 10k. Although this may have been due to accessible parts of the park.

I really enjoyed the run despite the "lovely" weather. If possible I would make the laps longer, so that you don't have to do the same lap 4 times. Other than that, all good, loved the run & the atmosphere.

It was very enjoyable, pre race info was very good. I have taken part in 2 of these events, and both times it has been well planned and executed. Kit wise, check the weather (it's London)!
