Really enjoyed the race, that’s because I ran along side theTurkey,a lot of the marshals were sending people the wrong way.The turkeys did not have any times on their backs, and I seen a couple just running themselves, their were a few angry people at the finish, because of this, something to think about for next year,I will be back.Regards.Jim

Well organised and fun day. Good for everyone - I ran with my 5-year-old grandson and we both really enjoyed the experience.

I really liked the surroundings and the atmosphere at the Kelpies was amazing. Starting and finishing was great.Unfortunately even though we tried to follow all the markings and communicated with Marshalls that we are a slow 5K turkey chasers, we lost our way in the middle of the course and done just 3.6K of the track. The medal is great 😁

My son in law and I were doing the 5K but when we got to finish we had only done 3k. Having spoken to my daughter, we should have gone right round the pond. I can picture the junction and the only arrows were telling to go right, back to start there was nothing to indicate that we should go left and circuit the pond. I feel we didn’t deserve our medals but was also disappointed we didn’t do 5K.

The medal is amazing - huge chunky piece with beautiful painted turkey and wording around it, also good substantial band around the neck. The event was very well organised. I was able to get my number and timing chip without a hitch. The warm up was fun with a good sound system. Was very impressed at the entry price for a chip timed run with such a good medal. Course smooth and relatively flat, great for a PB, with helpful marshals throughout. Turkeys were supportive and motivating.

Very well organised. I wasn't sure how the new system would work but it was brilliant. Plenty of volunteers to make sure you were on the right track and they gave lots of encouragement. The medals are gorgeous and colourful. When applying for a place I think you should have somewhere where people with wheelchairs or any other disability could let you know in case they may need a bit of extra support. Thank You for a brilliant day
