Starting from Tring Home Office, this event takes runners through the country trails, undulating chalk hills, woodlands and charming country villages of the stunning Chiltern Hills, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. In addition to the scenery, you will be guided and instructed by qualified lead runners, who will advise you on how to best tackle each trail.
Runners are grouped by ability and any steep ascents will be tackled by walking to ensure everyone can participate fully. However, you should be able to be on your feet for around 5 hours and should have ideally run close to a half marathon distance before. It is also advised that entrants should be capable of running at least 7k in an hour.
During the course, there is a well-stocked checkpoint with snacks and refreshments available for runners.

There is free parking onsite for all participants.
By Train
Transport is not included in your booking, however, there are regular trains from London Euston Station to Tring Station which take around 40 minutes. Tring Station is a 10 minute walk from the start point, and also has a taxi rank.

Kit List
Clothes:

Please note: the organisers will not be checking your kit on the day, but they highly recommend you bring these items for your safety.
I'm a bit worried that I won't be able to keep up, are there different paces we can go at the Chilterns 30?
This route is rated Moderate, and good fitness is required. You will need to be able to be on your feet for around 5 hours a day, and runners are encouraged to have run close to a half marathon distance before signing up. However, runners are grouped by ability, and the lead runners will make sure you do not get left behind.

Yes, all of the Run Leaders will be English Athletics qualified and know the local area extremely well.

Do I have to bring all my own refreshments at the Chilterns 30?
It is recommended that participants bring snacks to sustain themselves along the route, however, there will be a well-stocked refreshment station along the route to keep you fed and fuelled..
