Following the stunning Ridgeway National Trail in Buckinghamshire, this trail half marathon returns for its sixth edition in 2024. Beginning in Wendover at the foot of the Chiltern Hills, the route takes runners along the trail towards Whiteleaf Hill Nature Reserve.
Participants will then continue through woodland and down towards the historic Hampden House. The loop will then take them back along the previous trails to finish at the spectacular Coombe Hill Monument, overlooking Aylesbury Vale.
Experience stunning views and scenery as you take on this challenging route, which has plenty of hills and descents. The route is entirely off-road and will test your strength and stamina as you tackle the numerous ups and downs. Much of the route is shaded, meaning runners will be protected from summer heat.
There will be checkpoints at 6.5k and 16k; both will have toilet facilities.
