FAQs
What facilities are there?
There will be a cafe and toilets at the event.
Can I enter on the day?
No entries will be available on the day.
How does Canicross work?
You wear a waist belt which is connected to your dog's harness by a bungee line. The owner is pulled along by the dog, but the bungee line prevents any tension between you and the dog. Although the dog leads, you will be in charge by using vocal commands. This will help you bond with your dog in a completely new way!
How old does my dog have to be?
Your dog must be at least 1 year old, so that it's bones and joints are fully formed.
Is there an age limit for runner?
Yes, you must be at least 16 years old on the day of the race.
Is it good for my dog?
Yes, the exercise is brilliant for your pet's physical fitness and health. It is also good exercise for their brain as they respond to your vocal commands. A further benefit is that it allows your dog to socialise with other dogs!
