Route information
The race starts just a short walk from the historic Lancaster Castle and will finish in the Castle. The route will be rural taking in the Luneside countryside and will be relatively flat, making it suitable for new runners and PB hunters.

Parking
There is limited parking at the 3-1-5 Health Club. There are several car parks within a 10 minute walk of the venue.
Please note that there is very little on street parking close to the venue.

Age Restrictions
You must be aged 15 and over to enter the 10k. All ages may enter the Christmas Fun Run. Please be aware that all children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Race HQ
Race HQ will be held at 3-1-5 Health Club LA1 3PE - follow HQ signs.
Race Number
Race numbers must be collected on the morning of the event from Race HQ.
Water Stations
Drinks stations will be located at approximately 3 mile intervals along the route.
Christmas Fun Run
Parents may run with their children during the Fun Run without purchasing a ticket. They must however buy a ticket for their child to ensure they can visit Santa after the race.
All children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult throughout the entire race.
Those not running with a child will have to purchase a ticket.

Can I wear headphones/earphones during the Christmas Cracker 10k & Christmas Fun Run?
It is not recommended. For your own safety, you need to be aware of what is around you and to be able to take instructions from marshals.
Where will there be toilets at the Christmas Cracker 10k & Christmas Fun Run?
Toilets and portaloos are available at the Castle (and at the Royal King's Arms Hotel).
Can my 5 year old daughter take part in the Christmas Fun Run?
Yes, however please note that all children under the age of 6 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Do I have to buy a ticket for the Christmas Fun Run to accompany my child if I am also taking part in the 10k race?
Parents can run with small children but are not required to buy a number.
