Earn your Christmas dinner with this festive race around the scenic Victoria Park. Great for distant runners of all abilities, the course will snake around the park and passed the bandstand. Come to record a new PB or for the joyous Christmas atmosphere.

Route description
Route description

The course will be on the roads and paths within the park, passing by the Victoria Park bandstand and through the Pools Playground.

This is a looped race and the number of laps varies depending on which race you have entered:

Half Marathon – 6.5 laps
10km – 3 laps
5k – 1.5 laps

Course marshals will be on hand throughout to guide you.

Logistics and schedule

Schedule

0930 - Half Marathon starts
1000 - 5km starts
1005 - 10km starts

Please arrive at least 45 minutes before the start of your race to ensure you have plenty of time to complete the registration process. Further information will be sent out to those registered closer to the time.

Spectators

Victoria Park is an ideal location for spectators looking to support their friends and family. Given the looped nature of the route, you will be able to get numerous glimpses of the runners and help contribute to the incredible atmosphere of the day.

Volunteers

An extra pair of hands is always welcomed at these events. RunThrough has a variety of volunteering roles to fill from baggage storage to distributing finisher's medals.

What do I get in return? RunThrough offers volunteers free entry into one of their great races.

Train/Tube: Bow Road and Mile End are the nearest underground stations, both of which are around a 25 minute walk to St Marks Gate. Alternatively, Hackney Wick overground station is around a 10 minute walk away away.

Car: There is limited car parking available near Victoria Park and public transport is advised.
