Church Stretton Running Festival

UKAC are delighted to bring the Church Stretton Running Festival back for a 3rd year and build further on the success of the previous years.

This race will take you through the Town and Valley, with beautiful views of the surrounding hills and great support from the Chruch Stretton residents.

Take on one of the most challenging and Unique 10K road races in the country and be rewarded with some of the most spectacular views in the UK, running through an area of ‘Outstanding Natural Beauty’ And as anyone who ‘Beat the Burway’ in 2021 and 2022 knows; whatever goes up must come down, and there is no better feeling than speeding down the Burway to the finish line in the Town.

With 2500ft of climbs, this Ultra truly is a challenge for any runner. Starting up on Haughmond Hill on the outskirts of Shrewsbury, the first few miles takes you on an easy run down to Shrewsbury along the beautiful canal and riverside paths. From this point onward the hard work starts to kick in; first with a warm up climb over Lyth Hill, before taking on the punishing hills up to Rattlinghope, and culminating with traversing the Long Mynd.
