The City of Manchester 5k Series is a 5k race series held near Manchester centre at Alexandra Park throughout June. It’s basically a course designed for one thing and that’s allowing all runners, of all abilities to achieve a PB!

Route information
The route starts on the long wide slightly downhill section of the course near Saint Bedes College. It takes on the first small sweeping bend and passes the boating lake heading straight into a nice wooded section. Passing through a lovely open section of the Park till the top of the park near the famous Chorlton Lodge. It then runs on the parallel path to “The Terrace “, the Victorian Gardens placed at the top end of the park. One more turn gets you back to the start, repeat this 2 more times to finish.

From the south – A5103 Princess Parkway to Princess Road then turn left to Claremont Road.
From the north – M602 to Regent Road keep left to the roundabout and take the third exit to A5067. Chorlton Road straight to Withington Road and then take left to Yarburgh Street to the North West entrance to Alexandra Park.
