Triathlon: 750m swim, 18k cycle, 5k run
Duathlon: 1k run, 18k cycles, 5k run
Terrain: Lake swim & Road cycle/run

Take in the fantastic scenery of Cromhall Quarry as you take part in either the Sprint or Super Sprint Triathlons. First, indulge in the lake swim where you will tackle either 750m or 300m. Then, head to the transition point where you will take on the bike section, this will take you around the surrounding area of the quarry. Finally, hit the trails and race around the quarry's paths towards the finish line.

Do I have to wear a wetsuit at the Cromhall Evening Tri Series?

No, a wetsuit is completely optional - however, if you are taking part in the 11th May event then you must wear a wetsuit.

Where is the Cromhall Evening Tri Series located?

Cromhall quarry is located just off Junction 13 of the M5.

When do I need to arrive at the Cromhall Evening Tri Series?

Make sure to arrive for registration open at 17:30 to make sure you have plenty of time to set up your kit and get ready to race.

Normally they have good stickers but not this time. Course is great and because it's a series you can compare and see your gains.

Timing mats must have been in the wrong place as my T2 time came out as like 15 mins and then my run only three minutes. Timing chip also fell off in transition due to the Velcro being weak. Also nothing that can be done about it but on my second lap on the bike I got stuck behind two cars who were stuck behind riders on their first lap - ended up losing a decent chunk of time. All in all a great event that I will definitely do again, just a couple of little things I think could make it even better!

good event over all, could do with more information before hand to allow everyone to better prepare like advising that you may need some additional footwear due to the transition terrain from the swim to the transition and the start being situated some distance away from both points.
