Volunteers

Volunteers help make this event happen. If you volunteer for the event you may find yourself registering cyclists, handing out food at a feed station or handing out medals to cyclists who have finished their ride. Just get in contact ([email protected]) if you are available from 08:00 - 13:00 or 13:00 - 18:00 on Sunday 28th April and the event organizers will find a job for you.

  • Did the 160km in 2019

Bring enough food to feed yourself. There was no food at the second feed station which is after the long hilly stretch. The same thing happened last year. It is not rocket science to get some trays of flapjack in the right place at the right time. This made the ride difficult, which is a shame because everything else was very good.
  • Did the 80km in 2019

Loved the route and volunteers were excellent. Unfortunately this event is not as good as previous years. The feed stations have really let the event down and would have expected more considering the feedback gained from 2018.
  • Did the 160km in 2019

It was my first 100 mile ride. I thought the course was fantastic and well marked out. The problem was with the feed stations. The first one was not clearly signposted (which we missed) and the 92km station ran out of food. I do not think this is acceptable and this was the most difficult part of the ride. The 130km station had plenty of snacks but I think it would be good to have savoury items as well.
