About The Event
PLEASE NOTE THAT FROM 11th NOVEMBER, ONLY NON-BOBBLE HAT ENTRIES EXIST. YOU WILL GET THE BLONG BUT ALL THE BOBBLES ARE SOLD OUT. WE MAY HAVE A FEW BOBBLES AVAILABLE FOR ON THE DAY SALE BUT CANNOT GUARANTEE THIS!
Come join us for our Dachshund Through The Snow Christmas Jumper Big Bobble Run as we go festive ahead of Christmas. We have a fantastic new Christmas Dachshund Through The Snow Jumper medal for you to earn with a run through the picturesque Herrington Country Park! You will be able to purchase a Bobble Hat on the day of the event (subject to availability) for £5.00. Prices exclude a Bobble Hat.
We welcome runners of all abilities and you are allowed to run or walk the course.
Distance & Time
This is a 7 hour Time Challenge event which allows you full control over the distance you want to run. The minimum distance is 5km, which is part of a lap. A full lap is 3.28 miles (5.3km) and you can run as many or as few of these laps as you wish in the 7 hour time limit which starts from the official event start time. It is 4 laps for a half marathon, 8 for a marathon and 10 or over for an ultra, we also have a 50km distance available.
Course
The course is within Herrington Country park and the final route will be announced a few weeks prior to the event.

Medals & Pins
As long as you complete one lap, you will be an official finisher and you will receive our fantastic medal. We also have distance pins available for anyone who runs a half-marathon distance or more. Pins available to collect are our Half-Marathon, Mega-Half, Marathon, 50km and Ultra pins. You will receive one pin on the ribbon of your medal to reflect your achievement.
Goody Bag
Absolutely! You earned the calories after all, so all our finishers get a goody bag. As well as our standard goody bag, with a selection of various goodies to choose from, we also have a fabulous vegan goody bag for our vegan runners.
Aid Station
We have a fantastic aid table and drinks table at the start / finish of each lap. There is a great selection of savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items at the aid table.
Venue Facilities
Toilets are available at the race HQ. The venue has no changing facilities. Bag drop is next to the start and finish line. Bag drop is not staffed and runners are reminded to ensure valuables are not left and the organisers have no liability or responsibility for lost items.
Special Event
If our event is a special event for you, for instance your 50th, 99th, 100th, 200th, 250th etc., half or full marathon then please let us know. You will receive a special running number with your name on it and the date of the event. Also, if it is your birthday run then again please let us know as we have a fabulous special birthday number for you too.
Final Instructions / Number pick up
Final race day instructions will be sent out via email 4-7 days prior to the event with full race day information. Number pick up is on the day at race registration before the start of the event.
Other Info
Places are strictly limited and event registration will close once these are sold out. The minimum age is 12 years old. If you would like to run with someone under 12 years of age, please contact us directly. We have two events running at the same time. The main event is a UKA Permitted event and is for all runners aged 18 or over. In addition, we have a non-UKA event for runners under the age of 18. Runners under the age of 18 will automatically be included in the non-UKA start list and this event will start 1 minute after the main event.
Headphones are allowed.
Our running events are held on public footpaths so we would be grateful if all runners were considerate of other path users.
