Route description
Route description

The routes have been fine tuned to offer a new challenge in the UK for Ultra and Marathon trail running races, taking in the best of Dartmoor on high routes (including Yes Tor at 619m!) without the need for navigational ability, on trail and lesser used paths that give these races a wild 'mountain' aspect that is unique in southern England, and make for a unique Trail Marathon or Ultra.

The Dartmoor 50 and Marathon venue is in Okehampton, at the OCRA Pavilion, which is in the Okehampton College grounds.

The postcode for the OCRA Pavilion in the Park is EX20 1PW.

OCRA have some signage from the approach roads but the OCRA parking is NOT accessed via the main college entrance.

It is best to turn off East Street at the traffic lights and onto Mill Road, then it is the left fork roughly 250m after this junction, signed to OCRA and with event signage.

We are expecting to use overflow parking which is the main college parking, this will be directed to you if necessary.

Okehampton has good road links as it is on the A30. Those coming from the north have the M5 motorway until Exeter and the last 20 miles on the A30, which is dual carriageway. Okehampton is 100 miles from Bristol, and 220 miles from London, via the M4 and M5.

There are airports at Exeter and Bristol with domestic and international flights.

Exeter is the closest main line train station and there are regular bus services from Exeter to Okehampton.
