Route information
Terrain: Road
Route Type: 6.55 mile Out-and-Back
The route is a lap starting and finishing at Suffolk Running Centre and has next to no navigation or kit required. You'll head towards Barrow Village and on to Denham and at around 3k you will see Ely Cathedral in the distance.
Whether you are looking to run your 1st 10k, or your 50th Marathon, the brilliant Zig Zag Running team will cheer you all the way around. This event is ideal for those looking to achieve marathon distance, or even wanting to push a little further to a possible ultra.
Each lap there will be an aid station stocked full of cold drinks and nibbles. Take a break at the aid station after each lap if you like, you can run as much or as little as you fancy on the day. So long as you leave base camp before the 6 hours is up (before 5:59:59) you've still got time for one more lap.

Event day logistics

Participants have the choice to start their race at 9 am or 11 am. Please note that both waves will end at 3 pm, meaning those in the second wave will have a shorter time limit than those in the first wave.
Race Packs
Race bibs will be collected on the day from registration.
Age Restrictions
All entrants must be 18 and older to enter the event.
Water/Aid Station
There will be a water/aid station at Race HQ, which will be situated at the start and lap point of the route.
Bag Drop
There will be a space for runners to leave their bags and belongings, however they are left at your own risk and should not contain valuables. It is advised by the organiser to leave your belongings in your car, keeping valuables out of sight.
Lucky Dip Medal
The lucky dip medal (where available as an option) gives runners a chance of receiving a previous Zig Zag Events medal for a slightly reduced cost. This can be chosen when registering and ensures a little surprise on event day.
Cupless Event
Please note the event has gone cupless, so please bring your own water bottle to the event.
What time should I arrive at the Denham Dash Challenge?
You should arrive at least 45 minutes before your start wave to ensure you have time to register and warm up.
How old must I be to enter the Denham Dash Challenge?
All runners must be 18 on the day of the event.
Is there a cut-off time at the Denham Dash Challenge?
Yes there is a 6 hour cut off for this event. If you stat at 9 you will have 6 hours, whereas if you start at 11am you will only have 4 hours to complete your chosen distance.
Do I need to run for the entire 6 hours of the Denham Dash Challenge?
Not at all! You can run as much or as little as you like. You can even take a rest at the aid station after every lap for a while before heading out for more.
Is the Denham Dash Challenge route difficult to navigate?
No, this lapped route requires little to no navigation.
How late can I start my last lap of the Denham Dash Challenge?
You can start your last lap as late as you like under the 6 hour limit. The last time to leave base came for a final lap will be at hour 5:59:59.
