This festive, Die Hard-themed 5k takes place at the stunning, wildlife-rich Caldecotte Lake, the home of Milton Keynes Rowing Club, which is famed for its parkland. The Lake is wildlife-rich, boasting bird hides, waterfowl and dragonflies, and is a favourite with anglers, who are attracted by its populations of perch, carp and bream.
The 5k route consists of a 3/4 lap of the Lake, starting just along from the miniature railway and finishing by the Premier Inn car park. The route is entirely traffic-free.

There is a large car park at the pub where the run starts, with plenty of free parking available.

The nearest station is located at Bow Brickhill, a 20-minute walk away from the race start. Regular services run between Bow Brickhill and Bletchley and Bedford.
