Route information

This SUPathlon consists of 2 laps. The first lap will be on the SUP and is a 1k route on Black Swan Lake. You will start from the jetty and finish at the transition on the beach area where you will leave your SUP and start the run. The 5k run will be one lap around Black Swan Lake through Dinton Pastures Country Park.

Parking

There is ample parking onsite. You are advised to you pay via the RingGo App to avoid queues a the ticket machines. If you are bringing your own board, please park in the first car park on the right hand side as you enter the Activity Centre.

Event day logistics

09:30 SUPathlon starts

Registration

You will collect your race number and timing chip from registration between 08:00 and 08:45 on event day.

Team Entry

You can enter as a two person team where one of you does the 1k paddleboard and the other the 5k run.

Paddleboard Hire

You are able to hire a paddleboard for the day for an extra fee when you sign up for the SUPathlon. You will be able to find your paddleboard by the numbered cones in the transition area.

On Site Facilities

There will be toilets available to use in the Dinton Activity Centre as well as limited lockers.

There will be no water station at this event, participants are encouraged to bring their own refreshments.

Age Requirements

You must be aged 15 or over on event day to compete.

FAQs

Do I need to bring my own paddle board to the Dinton SUPathlon?

You are encouraged to bring your own, if you don't have a paddleboard there is the possibility to hire, but this is on a first come, first served basis. If you are hiring, you should do this when you buy your ticket and select the option with paddleboard hire.

Do I have to have experience on a SUP to take part in the Dinton SUPathlon?

Yes. In order to take part in this event, prior experience on a SUP is required.

Can I pariticapte in a team for the Dinton SUPathlon?

Yes, it is possible to enter with a teammate and do a relay. Teams will be in twos, one person does the 1k SUP and the other the 5k run.
