Did the race in 2021
Really good venue and good instructions. This particular event didn't have that many runners which was actually quite nice. The route itself is very good. Some people may find doing the same loop 4 times a bit boring but I found it useful for this run. Really enjoyed it and can't wait to do another one.

Great volunteer marshals on bitter cold morning, someone had swept the course. Rather casual transition security. For an event at dawn in midwinter you don’t expect atmosphere, but organisers did their best. Felt covid safe too.

Very flat course. Good for PB. Was my first duathlon and satisfied with my result. Organization and course could be better especially for the run leg.
Did the race in 2021
It was my first try at a duathlon, and couldn't have gone better as an event. Well marshalled, flat course, and luckily good weather given the time of year. Very positive experience, and I'm sure I'll be back.

Closed course well organised and marshalled would highly recommend to anyone and will definitely be returning

Great flat course, beginner friendly. Not many spectators due to covid but that is improving. Parking is always about 10 mins walk away but can't be helped. Transition well laid out and the portaloos could have been closer to transition. Marshalls were great, helpful and friendly.
