Route information
This a traffic-free, fast and flat course with mile markers and water stops. Friendly marshals will be giving you all the encouragement you need and will be helping you throughout the race and at the finish line. The course is also well sign posted and is a UKA Licensed Race.

How to get there

Get full directionsLOCATION -
The race starts and finishes at Dorney Lake, Off Court Lane, Windsor, Berks, SL4 6QP.
The Race HQ will be situated near the Boat House on the grass outside.
PARKING -
There is Free Car Parking at the venue next to the start area.
GETTING THERE -
Very accessible by car and public transport.
CAR -
- Exit at Junction 7 of the M4 motorway and follow slip road to the at the bottom roundabout
- Turn left onto the A4 towards Maidenhead
- After traffic lights, turn left at the roundabout onto B3026, signposted for Dorney and Eton
- On the sharp left-hand bend, turn right, signposted Dorney Reach
- After 400m, enter Dorney Lake, Eton College Rowing Centre through large white double gates.
- Follow perimeter road parallel to the left of lake, down to the Boathouse.
TRAIN -
Main stations for Dorney Lake are Slough and Windsor & Eton Riverside. We are also near Burnham, Taplow and Maidenhead stations.
Event day logistics
TIMING CHIP COLLECTION -
All runners are required to collect their race number and Timing Chip from the Race Collections desks situated next to the start line. Please go to the queue with your surname.
Desk opens - 7:30am
Closes - 9:15am
RACE SCHEDULE -
Competitors should allow time for Parking, collecting race numbers, using the toilets, and dropping of baggage.
Pre-race warm up around 10 minutes before the race start to warm up those tight muscles so you will be ready for the run.
Half marathon - 9:30am
10k - 10:00am
BAGGAGE DROP -
There will be supervised baggage drop area at the event. This is free to use but please note that we cannot take any responsibility for loss of items or possessions, so please refrain from storing valuables in this area. Please tear off the baggage tag from the race number and attach to your bag before setting off for the race.
TOILET'S -
Toilets will also be provided at the start / finish area.
MEDICAL TEAM -
We will have The Medical Despatch Team in attendance and we will have Medical Cyclists cycling with the runners to enhance response time in case of injury. If you need assistance during the run please alert the Marshals en-route who will be able to communicate back to the Medics.
Spectator Info
This is a great spectator event and it's a chance to be around one of London 2012 Olympic Venues. This is also a very family-friendly event and everyone has such a laugh.

Runners need to make sure they cross over the Chip Timing mat at the start of the race and NOT side step the mat otherwise you will not get a recorded finish time.
