Find your inner Olympian and take on this triathlon at the iconic Dorney Lake. Great for triathletes of all levels, the course makes full use of the 2012 Olympic rowing and canoeing venue. Come for the bespoke finisher's medal or for the physical challenge.

Dorney Lake Triathlon routes

The swim takes places in the lake itself. The distances are as follows:

  • Beginners: 400m
  • Sprint 750m
  • Olympic 1500m

The bike course loops around the lake on tarmac paths and closed roads. The course offers stunning views of the venue as well as the surrounding areas. The distances are:

  • Beginners: 10.6km
  • Sprint: 21.2km
  • Olympic 42.4km

As with the bike course, the run loops around the lake. Runners will be able to fully appreciate not only the beauty of the venue, but its iconic history thanks to the Olympic Rings on show. The distances are:

  • Beginners: 2.5km
  • Sprint: 5km
  • Olympic: 10km

Raceday Logistics

The provisional start times are as follows:

Olympic Female: 09:00
Olympic Male: 09:15
Sprint Female: 09:45
Sprint Male: 10:00
Beginner Female: 10:30
Beginner Male: 10:45

Please note that registration will take place on the morning of the event. Please arrive at at least 45-60 minutes before your start time in order to complete the registration process and rack your bike.

Spectators

This is a great event for spectators. Not only is Dorney Lake one of the most recognisable venues from the London 2012 Olympic games, but the looped structure of the course means spectators should get a good view of competitors.

There are catering facilities available onsite in case you are feeling hungry.

FAQs

How do I receive my race number?

Race numbers should be collected on the day as well as your timing chip.

Where can I find my results?

The results will be posted on F3 events website directly after the race. You will also receive a results email which will be sent to your email address after the event.

Is there an age limit?

Competitors will need to be 17 years old on the day of the event

Do I have to wear a wetsuit?

Wetsuits are encouraged. Not only will it keep you warm but it will also help you swim faster. It is compulsory to wear a wetsuit if the water temperature is less than 14 degrees celsius.
