The swim takes places in the lake itself. The distances are as follows:
- Super sprint - 400m
- Sprint - 750m
- Standard - 1.5k
The bike course loops around the lake on tarmac paths and closed roads. The course offers stunning views of the venue as well as the surrounding areas. The distances are:
- Super sprint - 10.6k
- Sprint - 21.2k
- Standard - 42.4k
As with the bike course, the run loops around the lake. Runners will be able to fully appreciate not only the beauty of the venue, but its iconic history thanks to the Olympic Rings on show. The distances are:
- Super sprint - 2.5k
- Sprint - 5k
- Standard - 10k

Event day logistics
07:15 Standard races start
08:00 Sprint races starts
Registration will take place by the main boathouse at the far end of the lake.
Bib Numbers
All bib and bike numbers will be collected on the day from registration. Nothing will be sent to participants in the post.
Please arrive at least 45 minutes before the start of the race in order to collect your race number and timing chip.
On-site Facilities
There will be toilets available at the starts/ finish area and will be accessible after every lap.
There will not be a bag drop so please arrive ready to race.
Water Stations
There will be water stations on the run routes only. During the bike leg of the triathlons, participants must carry water and anything else they'll need with them.
Age Requirements
The sprint and super sprint distances are open to participants aged 15 and over. The standard distance is open to participants aged 17 and over.
Headphones
The use of headphones/ earphones are strictly prohibited. You should be aware of what's going on around you as well as be able to hear encouragement and instructions from marshals.
Results
You can find your time online as soon as you've finished (internet connection permitting) and results will be sent out to participants within the 24 hours after the event.
Spectator Info
This is a great event for spectators. Not only is Dorney Lake one of the most recognisable venues from the London 2012 Olympic games, but the looped structure of the course means spectators should get a good view of competitors.
There are catering facilities available onsite in case you are feeling hungry.

Race numbers should be collected on the day as well as your timing chip.
Is there an age limit to take part in the Dorney Lake Triathlon?
Competitors will need to be 17 years old on the day of the event to take part in the standard distance and aged 15 or over to take part in the sprint and super sprint distances.
What kit do I need for the Dorney Lake Traithlon?
You'll need to bring your own bike and helmet. Bikes should be in good working order and suitable for roads/ pavements.
