The race will start in The Borough, Downton and continues along Moot Lane to Hale, Castle Hill and Woodgreen then retraces the route back to the finish in Downton. All on-road (nb road open to traffic) on fairly quiet country lanes. Very scenic route, a few hills but not too demanding!

The elevation profile looks a bit scarier than it actually is! It's a beautiful course in places, admire the view!

Did the race in 2018

A very nice local half Marathon. Lots of room to park, get ready and store bags. The course is excellent for a training half marathon, combining multiple hills and flat sections all on tarmac. Due to the nature of the location it ticks the box for scenic beauty but not for atmosphere, we can't have it all. Chip timing was a nice addition to a local event also and the free soup at the finish is more welcomed over another bag with leaflets and chocolate bars in.

Really enjoyed the race., loved the hills . Good downhills to even it out I will do this event next year. I great atmosphere and well organised.Cheers peep's
