Draycote Water 10k November route

The 10km race begins a short walk from the race village, and begins with a 1km up and back section along the upper pathway of the Dam. Following this runners will complete a clockwise lap of the reservoir.

Runners will certainly be kept on their toes during this race, thanks to some short sharp inclines and declines. Nothing will compare to the sweeping finish along the home straight where runners will be rewarded with well earned refreshments and a finisher's medal.

It's a good run, well organised and a generally pretty flat course. You'll see that you have to pay up to £17. That may not be a surprise ... you have to pay to enter runs except the brilliant 'Park Run'. I was miffed when I arrived to discover that on top of the entry fee I had to pay a pretty hefty fee for parking.. I just kinda assumed parking would be included. Suddenly 'value for money' was reduced. That is why I only gave 2 stars for 'organisation'.

Enjoyable, mostly flat fast course. Watch out for the wind particularly in Winter as it exposed in places.3 parking for 2 hours, 4 all day as of Oct 18.

Good race as always, my pb course but, alas, not on this windy day!! A bit short on atmosphere as not the best conditions but that would be the same anywhere in November!! Ill be back

Easy parking, very well organised and a beautiful route. I'll be back.
