Great course. Can get very cold and windy here so be prepared. Parking is £5 all day. Good cafe for your family to wait at if bad weather.

I'd done the January 10k in, 2019 and 2020 (the last race I did pre-lockdown) Jan 22 was my first race since COVID and its a great course to get back into it.

Sad that the chip timing is not used at the start now, very unfair on people near the back, it was used the last time I did it, needs reinstating

Great organisation and a nice run on a sunny day.Although it looks relatively flat (as its round a lake) it can be quite undulating. The wind always whips into your face on the final stretch and can make the last km feel like 3 times its length.

Course is good, has a mixture of hills and flat sections on a tarmac Service. Well organised. Lovely medal

Great course, it was our first competitive 10k as were training for a half marathon and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere and encouragement from the other runners was great just unfortunately no spectators. Were now considering doing the next one here.

The course is brilliant: it is broad enough to overtake or run two abreast and only gently undulated. Very well organised and started on time

The course itself is very undulating which is good if you like that sort of thing as opposed to either a very flat or very hilly course. The events form part of a series and I tend not to be able to get to all races in the series which is a little demoralising. Theres both particularly wrong with the organisation but Id say the atmosphere is quite flat, no motivational warm ups, its just turn up and go. If you like minimal fuss its a good challenging 10k race.

This was my first time at this event, and only my second ever 10k race. The organisation from start to finish was spot on in Draycote Water they have a very accessible venue with plenty of parking (and a great kids park if the family join you in warmer months). The run itself was enjoyable, mainly flat with some short sharp hills thrown in, enough to take the wind out of your sails but not ruin your run... power through! The location is very picturesque and with the lap of the reservoir you cant help but take in the natural beauty, all the time breathing a bit too heavily to appreciate the peace and quiet. At the finish we were cheered across the line and handed a very impressive goody bag just to top it all off. I am booked in for the February 10k and I am sure I will be a frequent visitor to this enjoyable 10k race.

I'm in for the whole winter series here so it's beginning to feel like a familiar Sunday morning drill. Great course, good location, well organised, friendly atmosphere, and I got a PB!
