Route information
The 10km race begins a short walk from the race village, and begins with a 1km up and back section along the upper pathway of the Dam. Following this runners will complete a clockwise lap of the reservoir.
Runners will certainly be kept on their toes during this race, thanks to some short sharp inclines and declines. Nothing will compare to the sweeping finish along the home straight where runners will be rewarded with well earned refreshments and a finisher's medal.

Very good straightforward and pleasant run. The people taking part were very friendly. I would have liked to have seen a couple more water stations due to the heat however everything else was fine good value for money. The model was okay

people have left reviews about this being a flat course, which it is, well relatively! there are 2 quite steep small hills to which the decents are pretty short, and for the rest of the course it felt like I was continuously running up hill with long very gradual inclines. maybe just me, it was quite hot too , but just don't expect a totally flat course

Very warm but a nice run. Atmosphere was ok, but most crowds had cleared when the half marathon runners had finished.As an overall run, I'd say 8 out of 10

It was a well organised event and works well with the 10k starting at the same time over the other side of the lake. The course is a little hilly but nothing too excessive. It is a shame we have to run on the lower path/roadway below the edge of the reservoir so you do not get the cooling effect of running next to the water but I understand that path is too narrow and there are other people enjoying Draycote. The wooded sections of the course are nice and give you some shade and views of the lake. Despite it not being the middle of a town or city there was some nice support from the people having a day out there.
