Very wet and windy but an enjoyable run. Organisation was very average though- no toilets provided outside visitor centre. Pre race notes said the start would be kept open for a little while to enable people concerned about covid to start out less bunched together, but whilst walking to the start one of the organisers decided to shout at people still approaching saying they were going to start on time! Nice! Marshall’s mostly disinterested. No t shirt or anything of any substance at the end. Oh well…

Great course but poor organisation. Only one set of toilets open so big queues pre-race, marshals along the course looking at their phones and NOTHING TO EAT at the end. “Goody” bag mainly consisted of sachets of hydration powders to be made up pre- or during- a workout and a small bottle of water, so no use whatsoever. All races of these distances should provide some nutrition at the end, such as a protein bar or shake or a banana.

Me and my friend ran this together to get the miles in our legs and enjoyed the course and plan on coming back for another event. It was a bit windy but once you got past the first mile this seem To not be the case.

Give yourself plenty of time before the race as there are queues for getting car parking tickets and for the ladies toilets so dont arrive too last minute.I did this race in February and on parts of the course you do feel cold from the breeze coming from the water so layers that you can remove or add are a good idea if you do feel the cold - I especially was glad I had my gloves!

Great fun course with great scenery however this course is described as flat however its is undulating. A great potential PB course. Take some money with you as the cafe on site sells amazing scones.

Car park gets very busy. Only two machines at which to pay. Queues get very long. So get there early!

Wasnt sure what to expect but pleasantly surprised. Good circuit of the lake with a double back at the start, wind destroyed me in the last km. My only gripe (and this is an exceptionally minor thing) is there was a yellow arrow on the finishing straight that was doing nothing but from a distance looked like the finish but was another 200m away. It made me swear in my head a little as I used it to kick and then fell short.
