Hello I'm taking part in the 'First Timer' triathlon on Sunday. My friend will be with me witht he 4 children aged 3 - 6. I would like to arrive about 2 hours before so that I have time to find out where I'm going, what I'm doing etc and to not have a panicked rush. My friend is worried that it's a long time for the children and she wonders if there's things there to keep them entertained. Is there anything? Is it suitable for young children to be hanging around for many hours? Thank youS
Hi there. Thanks for get in touch and it is so exciting that you are taking part in your First Triathlon. I completely understand that you want to arrive in good time. There isn't that much to do at Dorney Lake however you are right next to Windsor where your children can go on a duck tour or go to Legoland. Please follow the tripadvisor link to see what you can do around Windsor - https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Attractions-g186419-Activities-Windsor_Windsor_and_Maidenhead_Berkshire_England.html. Many thanks! :)N
Do all times get recorded on the website or can you opt out of that? And...do you typically have a lot of beginners at this?S
Hi there. Thanks for getting in touch. Your time will get recorded onto the website and most beginners will be competing on the Sunday. If you do not want your time posted on the website then it is probably best you contact the event organiser to tell them this - [email protected]! :)
