A longer route providing a great stepping stone from half marathon to full marathon. An undulating course, with almost 800m of total ascent. The race starts by climbing to the sumit of skiptons iconic hill of Sharphaw then heading into the Dales eventually climbing your next summit of weets top near Malham. From here you will head back down with Sharphaw in view again. Mixed terrain, footpaths, tracks, boggy fields and open moor this route provides interest mile after mile for new and experienced runners.

As this is private property on a farm the start and finish areas are unsuitable for friends and family wanting to spectate.
The route passes through the villages of Flasby and close to Hetton although parking may be an issue.
Walkers can easily get to the top of Sharphaw (the first ascent) Also from Malham walkers can get to the summit of Weets Top which is a great viewing point and runners will be very grateful of your support here.
