FAQs
Is there an age limit for the Dulux London Revolution?
Participants must be aged 16 years or above by the start of the event to enter.
Participants under the age of 18 years (but over 16 years) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for health and safety reasons.
Do I have to wear a helmet during the Dulux London Revolution Cycle?
Yes. Safety out on the road is paramount to us so you cannot ride without one.
Is the ULTRA race at Dulux London Revolution Cycle for elite cyclists only?
The ULTRA isn’t designed to be the fastest. It is the ultimate challenge of endurance and a chance to showcase the best city sights and surrounding countryside. The minimum average speed you can travel for the ULTRA event is 12 miles per hour. This is to ensure you finish safely within the timeframes of the event.
If I'm camping at the Dulux London Revolution Cycle, do I need my own tent and sleeping mat?
No, your tent will be pitched ready and waiting for you when you arrive at basecamp and you will collect your sleeping mat when you check in to tent allocation, however you will need to bring your own sleeping bag. Tents are 2 man pop-up tents (allocated one per person).
Are the roads closed for the Dulux London Revolution Cycle?
No. The route is set along quieter roads so there is less traffic (and they’re more beautiful). You must still cycle sensibly and safely and obey the Highway Code in order to avoid accidents.
What will be in my race pack for the Dulux London Revolution Cycle?
Your race pack will include your bib number with safety pins, a luggage label, your participant wristband and your parking (if you booked parking before the deadline above).
Will my bags be transferred from the start to my location both days of the Dulux London Revolution Cycle?
Yes, your bags will be transported for you from the start to your final destination each day. In your registration pack you will be given a luggage label with your participant number on it to attach to any luggage so it is easy to find at the end of the day. You’ll just need to drop bags in the morning and it will be there for you to pick them up at the other end.
For the ULTRA, your luggage will be looked after whilst you complete the 300km. You’ll just drop bags in the morning and then pick them up at end.
