Route information
The event starts and finishes on the private land of Dummer Down Farm. There are two routes on offer, a 5k and a 10k, both include wide gravel tracks, winding pathways and historic woodland.
Right from the start line, on the 5k and 10k, you'll be heading out of the farm on a wide gravel track. At the 1k point, you'll cut through a woodland trail and out into an open space. As you come out of the woodland, you'll track the field's edge, where the routes split. 5k runners will head straight on, with views of your fellow runners on your right as you navigate the edge of The Dell. At 3k, the landscape changes to narrower woodland paths covered by tree canopies, and at the top of a small hill you'll be joined by runners on the 10k route. You'll share twisting paths and an excellent long gentle downhill section towards the finish.
The 10k route tracks into the woodland, past Breach Farm and joins the Wayfarers walk. After a gentle climb and some narrow footpaths, the views open, and landcover is a patchwork of open farmland and woodland mosaic. You'll get to enjoy 2km of downhill on superb open trails, and at the halfway point you'll be met with the friendly volunteers crewing a water station. So grab a refresher and prep yourself for the second half. The route includes a steady, undulating climb from 6km to 9km with chalky gravel tracks and onto superb woodland single tracks for the final km.
