Route information
Full Round
Distance: 62 miles
Elevation: 2,901 metres
Time: 24 hours
The full route highlights the beauty of nature, as runners will navigate past wild garlic-lined river paths, climb past Dalwood vineyard on Danes Hill, pass through ancient woodland full of wild flowers and coated in bluebells, and traverses the striking Hartridge ridge, high above the village of Luppitt, and the home of Otter Brewery.
Runners will travel through lush vegetation, purple orchids, and woodland before reaching Goat Island. There are also some impressive climbs along the route, with runners tackling two of East Devon's best climbs, both the Iron Age hill forts.
The route then meets the sea at both the impressive Lyme Regis's historic cobb and at Axmouth harbour, but also reaches the heights of the Blackdown Hills, complete with views reaching far over Dartmoor.
A final section of Offwell woods spits you out back where you started all those hours and miles before where pizza, beer, cake and your East Devon Round medal are all yours.
Half Round
Distance: 31 miles
Elevation: 1,500 metres
Time: 24 hours
The Half Round route follows a similar route to the above, except it's half the distance. By no means an easy feat, the route is 31 miles long with 1500m of elevation, but runners hard work will be rewarded with stunning views.
Team Round
Entrants can also choose to participate as part of a pair or team of 3, 4, or 6.
Change over points can be highlighted on the Friday evening but it is expected a Team of 3 will run 20 miles (or just over each), a Team of 4 will run 15 miles (or just over each), and a Team of 6 will run 10 miles (or just over each).
Whilst the organiser can help with directions and parking places, they can't be responsible for getting runners to and from Start and Finish points.
A team car will be required, with tag team drivers throughout the event.
