Pretty, flat, mostly tarmacked route. Only a couple of off-road bits which because of recent weather were a bit muddy, but we were warned about this on arrival. Marshals recommended that we avoid these bits (which would leave the route short by some 2km, which we could make up, so not a big deal). Course surprisingly scenic given the location - bit of an easter egg there. Lots of really nice graffitti art work, plus great marshal support and lots of cake, biscuits, water etc at support stops and at finish line. Really friendly atmosphere, will definitelry come again next time.

We got detailed emails with race info a week before the race. Couldn't have faulted the race organisers on any pre-race info: didn't need to ask any questions because they were all answered in the confirmation email. The course was a bit wet & muddy in places because of recent weather, but it was still a really pretty route with frequent water/refreshment stops and was really well marshalled. We were warned at registration that overnight weather had meant a last minute route- ammendment, but that was ok. At least the organisers wanted to look after us rather than just run the race regardless. There was tea and coffee at the start, and parking and toilets not far away. The vibe was really friendly and all the people were really lovely. Apparently no time or age restrictions, so that relaxed us a lot.

We booked late (Friday night and the run was Saturday morning) but the communication was excellent (or should that be eggcellent with it being easter). Mel emailed the instructions Friday night and even found time to answer my last minute text message on the morning of the run. A friendly event and value for money. Medal and a goodie bag, not to mention all those cakes and treats at the end. Thank you everyone. The route was slightly shortened due to weather, but that was told to us at the race briefing so not a problem.

The communication emails were fantastic. Very detailed covering everything I needed to know given my lack of preparation time.Hot drinks were available in the registration tent with all proceeds going to charity. The was small but had a good friendly vibe.Unfortunately due to weather the Half had to be changed for safety reasons - given the conditions was completely acceptable. The course was modified to 2 loops out & back. The Race Marshal explained that the distance would come in short and those wanting to complete the full distance would need to factor in the additional mileage. At least this was explained so didnt come as a shock at the end so I factored in a number of additional loops of the stadium. The route was mainly on tarmac with a loop round one field which was a little tricky in road shoes but not so bad all in all.Refreshment tables were well placed and stocked with sweets and cupped water which I struggle with so meant stopping for a drink.Goody bag at the end with a coloured easter themed medal, bottle of beer, creme egg, tangerine and bag of crisps.

1 race was 1.5 miles short.. 2 registration was chaotic.. racers using the area as a refuge point which made it difficult to collect race number. finished with a friend and was logged on the official times as being 3 minutes behind her. marshaled by unsupervised children in places. my friends first half mara and was a shocking experience for her. people shouldn't be putting races on if they don't know what they are doing or have the means to support the runners. I was told that the route was 1 km short due to weather , which is fine we cant control that but to be 4.5 miles short is disgusting. I have only heard (post race) from other runners that they have run with this company before and have had very similar experiences. I wont be booking a race with these cowboys again
