Elsecar Trail running festival and Santa Dash along the lovely Transpennine trail. Enjoy a fantastic winter weekend of running along the lovely transpennine trail. On Saturday 16th, distances include the marathon and half marathon and on Sunday 17th you can run the 10k or for the second year running the fantastic santa dash (fancy dress encouraged).

    As my first Marathon, it was great, the support over the first 3 laps was great. The last lap got a bit lonely. I may have considered my road shoes instead of trails, as the trail was quite compact; but that would have been difficult to judge.
