Route information
Take on this amazing race in the Emei Mountain in Sichuan, China, one of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Experience sights such as the renowned Golden Summit Temple with its Buddha statue and the jungle, teeming with native wildlife and plants. You'll be immersed in local culture and history whilst absorbing incredible scenery and views. Select the distance that suits you, from a 10k run to a 55k trail or a more relaxed 35k hike spanning two days.
Each course begins at Emei Mountain's famous archway. The 10k then heads towards Checkpoint 1, located at Shenshui Pavilion, before continuing on to Qingyin Pavilion. The route finishes at the Wannian Temple at 1,020m above sea level.
The 27k route is a quick climbing challenge race, which tackles 3,309m of ascent.
The 55k trail is a cross-country course, initially following the same route as the 10k and then continuing on to Xianfeng Temple, Jiulinggang and Leidongping. From there, it's a push onwards to Walnut Dam, with a finish at Nanshan Headquarters. The route is composed of 29k of roads, 15k of hidden trails and 11k of rural roads.
