About
The 10k run is a multi-terrain course along quiet country lanes and footpaths. Children have the chance to join in by running around the school playing field as many times as they can, raising money through sponsorship.The Mini-Oak Challenge - The children can run as many laps of the school field as they can, raising money through sponsorship, winning themselves a medal.

The undulating route includes a mixture of quiet roads, farm tracks and footpaths.
Starting in the Emmer Green Primary School field, it heads out of Emmer Green via Gravel Hill and follows the quiet lanes towards Kidmore End.
The run then heads across fields before descending down through the golf course and back towards the school field along St Barnabas Road. Watch out for the cheeky hill near the end!

Event day logistics
Registration
Registration and check-in will be under the large event shelter in the playground. Registration desks will be open from 9.30am, and this is where you collect your race numbers. Everyone must be registered by 10.15am.
You can register on the day as well – look out for event signs to the relevant area.
Warm-up and start
There will be a pre-race warm-up with Gareth France. This will take place close to the start line at 10.15am, straight after the race briefing. The 10K run starts at 10.30am.
The Mini-Oak Challenge warm-up will take place after the 10K warm-up has finished.
Facilities
A manned bag-drop will be provided in the school hall. Runners leave personal effects at their own risk.
There will be a water station at the 5KM point, and water and fruit handed out at the end of the race.
Toilets are situated in the school playground.
Fun and food
A hoopla stall and other entertainment will be available on the playground.
There will be a BBQ selling bacon butties and halloumi rolls.
Tea, coffee and freshly made cakes are for sale in the school hall.
