After your swim in the beautiful Lake Windermere, the cycle will take you around the undulating terrain of the South Lakes. The run around the grounds of the YMCA Lakeside will complete the event. This is a wonderful location for a triathlon taking in the best the Lake District has to offer.

Get full directionsBy Car
YMCA Lakeside is in Newby Bridge just off the A590. Exit the M6 at Junction 36 and head
towards Windermere. Take the left turn from the A591 to enter the A590 and head towards
Ulverston. Take a right turn off the A590 at The Newby Bridge Hotel towards The Swan Hotel
and continue to follow the road until you reach YMCA Lakeside. There will be parking available for £3, which is a 10 minute walk from the race HQ.

Transition will be open on race day morning.
Age Restrictions
Middle Distance Must be 19 years or older
Standard Distance Must be 17 years or older
Registration
Registration is on Saturday between 13:00 and 16:00 at the race venue. There will also be emergency registration for those unable to register on the Saturday which will take place on Sunday morning at at the race venue from 05:30 to 06:30.
Kit
All competitors are required to bring a roadworthy bike and recognised cycle helmet

Yes there will be chip timing, you will receive your chip at registration.
What distances are available at the EpicMan Windermere?
There will be a middle distance triathlon: 1.9k Swim, 90k Bike, 21.1k Run. And there will be a standard distance triathlon: 1500m Swim, 40k Bike, 10k Run.
When do I register for the EpicMan Windermere?
Competitors can register on the Saturday afternoon the day before between 13:00 and 16:00, or they can use the emergency registration on Sunday morning between 05:30 and 06:30.
