Ok. I was not looking forward to this at all. My sister had talked me and my wife into it 6 months earlier with a few glasses of wine. Well, I can't wait for the next one. It was superb. You arrive and pitch your tent and then relax. Relax with friends neighbours or on your own. Get some grub and a beer if you want. Toilets cleaned regularly...food choice is fine. Oh yes, the race. 10k in your own time. Fast if you want or not so fast if you want...relax as you run. Then once you have done your lap take a break and relax and wait patiently for the next lap...it is awesome...JFDI.

Such a supportive, fun event. I have run this twice in a team of 8, will be back next year with the same team, and to be honest, can't imagine not doing it each year now! Lovely course, great marshals, hot showers, loads of portaloos, good food and drink stalls, fabulous medal.

This whole wonderful event creates a lifetime of memories but some moments last for ever. On Sunday I set out in pitch black around 0535 and saw the sun coming up and lighting up the castle in time to give me a great view from That Hill. The honking of the water fowl was setting off the hunt hounds barking in their kennels. And the most awesome thing. Whilst it was still dark, a bat swooped down and took a huge insect from the beam of my head torch about four feet from my face!

Amazing that the organisers can put on such a well organised event for the price of entry. My family enjoyed being able to camp and cheer on runners. The atmosphere was supportive and friendly. I could not recommend this event enough. I have signed up again for next year. Well done Equinox24!

After doing the daytime 10k last year I fell in love with Equinox24 so I knew I had to the full 24hr event this year. I went solo so 100% my race my pace. The course is challenging but absolutely stunning. Due to a knee injury I decided to walk it & this was the best decision I made. Loved every minute from the moment I pitched my tent to the emotional last few steps of my last lap ( I managed 7 laps 70km in total ). The atmosphere was awesome, loads of support from marshall’s and fellow equinoxers. You are never alone even in the middle of the night, someone’s there to keep you going with words of encouragement. I could go on for ages about how great the event is, it’s like a big family reunion. I’m now signed up for next years event and the summer one too.

This was our second year at Equinox24 , first year in a team and this year solo. I can’t recommend this any higher it’s a fabulous event. A festival feel with running thrown in as well! 😍 It’s a great course with a couple of challenging elements to challenge you, namely’That Hill’ !!The organisation is spot on and such a friendly team of volunteers too who just keep you going. The food village and trade stands are great as is the entertainment on Friday night. The camping area is good with toilets that are serviced regularly and there’s showers. You are missing out if you don’t give Equinox24 a go and believe me you will go back the next year😊😊🙌

Another super weekend with our running club - bonding and cheering everyone on. Great family feel to it. Not too many people taking it stupidly seriously. Amazing and friendly runners.

Having completed a team run at Equinox24 last year , 2019 was my first attempt at running solo. It is such a well organised event with a great festival feel. Great eateries and stalls the set up is perfect. The course is challenging with ‘ not that Hill’ and ‘That Hill ‘ and not forgetting the steep descent beforehand! But these also ‘make’ the event. Great 24 hour support from encouraging Marshall’s too.I would highly recommend this event to anyone looking for a challenge and a great event with free camping.
