Thorndon Country Park is the fourth instalment of the Essex Cross Country 10k series. Anyone up for a challenge will enjoy this course that has its fair share of hills on both trails and paved paths. Come for one race, or all five, and earn your finisher's medal each time you race.

Route information
This is the 4th event in the 5 race Essex 10k series, running from May - September. Runners can take part in individual races or the entire series.
Underfoot, the course takes you along a variety of paths - gravel, forestry, grass plains - with exposed tree roots and overhanging branches throughout. Although a challenge, this is suitable for runners of all levels.
The route will be lapped, with runners completing it twice.
Water stations will be available after the completion of each lap and the course will be marshalled and distance marked throughout.

Limited parking available for the park. Up to 1 hour £2.20, up to 2 hours £3.30, up to 3 hours £4.40 and over 3 hours £5.50.

Entrants must be 15 and older to enter the event.

Water stations will be available after the completion of each lap and the course will be marshalled and distance marked throughout.

There will be toilets at the start/finish area.

Given the lapped nature of the route, spectators will see the runners pass twice.
