Swim buoys & the exit from the water from the perspective of the swimmer would have been better if larger & more visible. Bike transition was a riot people: people wandering about , difficulties finding bikes etc.Bit strange not to have numbered transition slots given generally how well this event was organised! Good event that could be great 👍

A great course, flat and easy to navigate. The transition area however, was a free for all, not at all marshalled and meant that competitors had to run through people standing around/preparing for their race and it was fairly chaotic. The Rows weren't labelled. The male giving the briefing was incredibly rude and displayed a good deal of misogyny towards the women's sprint race, which was a shame because there were a lot of enthusiastic women attending.

30 years experience in triathlonMarshaling was non existent in transition. No allotted areas meant people moving other peoples kit around, people leaving there kit spread all over the placeSpectators in transitionSpectators and competitors in transition getting in everyones way, using mobiles, filming, listening to music. One runner actually was wearing headphonesThe spectators in transition blocked isles, brought bags and kit/bikes into transition and took it out. To test the system I got my 11 year old son to walk into transition, find my bike (£9000 of Canyon) and wheel it out of transition, he was never challenged.Great venue but organisation for safety, security and BTF rules was flouted beyond belief

Upon arrival all the organisation of the whole day ran smoothly and the course information on the day was explained well to us before the race began. Each discipline laid out clearly and love the medal at the end 🤩👏👏

Excellent atmosphere this year, a much better atmosphere when compared to the same event last year (albeit at the time coming out of Covid) One thing that made me feel slightly uneasy was there seemed to be a lack of attention or care towards the transition area with a lot of kit being left lying around by athletes who were already out on the bike course when I arrived (10am start) with wetsuits being left strewn around the transition area, in walk ways etc. Another area of concern I had was that the staff seemed to be letting anybody into the transition area with a large group of people gathering at the far end of transition watching the bike course from between bike out and bike in areas. There didn’t seem to be many checks going on for athletes or non athletes going into or out of the transition area.
