Route information
Unfortunately, we have just been informed that the main path going through the Riverside Valley Park will now not be resurfaced before the Exeter 10k. This section makes up just over a mile each lap. The path is currently still runnable but due to all the site traffic from the flood defence works it is bumpy and rough (like it was for the 2018 race) so extra care will be needed. We have been in constant contact throughout the last year with the flood defence works contractor regarding the 2019 race, initially the timelines were that everything would be done before Christmas, which was then delayed to May. Therefore we were still confident it would all be completed in good time before our event in July and were disappointed to hear of the further delay! Hopefully you understand our predicament, however as a gesture of goodwill everybody who has entered before (07.06.19) will be emailed and offered a 7 day window to withdraw from the race and get a refund.

What's included
  • Pancake flat & fast 2 laps course suitable for all abilities
  • Medal & goodies for every finisher.
  • KM markers
  • Pacemakers
  • 2 water stations on route (using compostable cups)

From the moment we begin to organise an event, we start to incur costs. Your entry fee is invested into the cost of staging the event - everything from barriers to toilets, from printing to safety pins, from race numbers to marketing. Organising any event requires a considerable amount of forward planning, risk and expense. Therefore we are unable to offer refunds or defer entries over to the 2019.

Water Station
There will be a water station on the course - please use bins provided. Runners
will pass the water station twice.
These will be available at Race HQ at Haven Banks, please note toilets and
changing available on ALL floors. There are also public toilets on the Quay
(opposite side to hq).
We would prefer runners not to wear headphones so they can hear marshals’
instructions and be aware of other runners and the general public as the event
does not have exclusive use of the paths.
A limited baggage store will be available at the Race HQ. This is entirely at your
own risk.
There will be showers at Race HQ

Did the race in 2019
I really enjoyed the race and having pacers really helped me. All I would say I like my bling (medals) and just thought they were a little underwhelming. Overall it was fantastic.

Great place to run. Many volunteers and fab medal and goodies. The off track running section was a challenge but was good to get the heads up about this in advance.
Did the race in 2019
Slightly difficult running on the uneven track but apart from that loved the event (we traveled up from Bristol!)
Did the race in 2018
Easy and enjoyable, organisation good. Weather was bit hot but cooler in evening than day. Medal and sunglasses for finishing. Recommended for intermediate runner. Flat course although due to flood works was bumpy in places.
